How Much Gay -- Why Is the Huffington Post Phrasing a Question This Way?

Asexuals know that sexual attraction and sexual behavior are not the same thing. Allison Hope, a blogger for the Huffington Post's Gay Voices section, rcently asked how much Gay sex maks a person Gay.

Hope says that an individual knows who they are attracted to is determined by an individual long before someone even decides on who their first sexual partner will be. (The last sentence assumes that a person has had sexual partners. There are many Asexuals who are virgins).

The question should not have been asked. Having never had sex does not make someone Asexual. It makes them a virgin. Gays and Lesbians sometimes view Bisexuals with suspicion because they need to pick a side. It is the same that leads some people to think Asexuals need to have intercourse before they can declare a sexual orientation.

Why ask this question at all? More importantly, why ask the question on a site that has a large following? It may have been a simple attempt to boost traffic through controversy or to make sure that there was content.
