Today is Sweet, Asexy Love Day

March 14th, the day before the Ides of March, is Sweet Asexy Love Day. This long-ranging tradition started this year as a response to the over commercialization of the sex aspect of Valentine’s Day. This new long-running tradition started as a tumblr post.
To participate in the day, a person simply needs to post a picture, preferably captioned, about a romantic and not sexual relationship a person engages in and what makes it special. It does not have to be with a person. People can caption about what makes their relationship special. Tumblr allows an ideal platform for people to post captioned pictures, although any blogging platform provides this capability.
The author of this article planned on participating in this event, but the only relevant relationships he could think of were one with his dog, an American foxhound, and the long-term relationship he has had with his Asus 8.9“ netbook.
An initial video, reposted below, explains the entire purpose of the event. Romantic Asexuals, grey Asexuals and Demisexuals to celebrate their relationships. Nothing prevents Aromantic Asexuals from participating, although it is unlikely they will.
