Asexuality and Feminism: The Third and final part

While writing the article on Asexuality and rape yesterday, this author had a sudden realization of how Asexuality and feminism are related: Rape.

As mentioned in the article on Asexuality and rape, this author mentioned that some people believe that rape is a one way street- man on woman, which, those same people would argue makes rape a feminist issue. However, also mentioned in the same article, is that that same attitude, ignores the existence of Asexual men. And, in a way, ignores the existence of Asexuality as a whole.

Anyway, the rape awareness campaign (for lack of a better term), centers around the right to say no to sex. Which feminists have come to equate with female empowerment. And of course, an Asexual regardless of their gender, would have a hard time arguing with.

Author's note: This whole article may be a lot for one to wrap one's head around. And this author doesn't blame you, heck, it took her to write 3 articles to finally realize how Asexuality and Feminism are related (even though it only took a bit of inspiration from AVEN to write one about how Asexuality and rape are related, go figure).
