Is El Goonish Shive's Susan an Asexual?

El Goonsih Shive has still not declared whether or not the character of Susan is Asexual, but it seems that the topic of the character's orienation has come up in the comic's recent Questions and Answers session. Susan would not be the first Asexual character in relativlely well-known web comic, but she would be the first human Asexual character in a well-known web comic
The recent non-revelation of Susan's Asexuality occurred in Monday's strip.. Readers of El Goonsish Shive asked how Susan knew that she was not a lesbian. EGS clearly defines the sexuality of all of its main characters. Susan is the only character in this strip not to receive this treatment.
Dan Shive's reluctance to write in a specifically Asexual character is not unusual. American media often shows people who just do not pursue sexual relationships. Only New Zealand's Short Street has had a story line that centered around a character discovering that he is Asexual.
Monday's comic did not reveal anything regarding Susan. Regular readers will find out if the topic gets addressed further tonight.

This is the first time I hear about asexuality and the "transforma tion fiction" sub-culture being mentioned in one sentence... That might even nudge me into reading ElGoonish for a change.
