First Child Born To FTM In Britain

A female to male transgender man gave birth. The Metro, a UK newspaper, did not give the name of the man. The potential father contacted the Beaumont Society. He gave birth to a child early in 2011.

The Beaumont Society is a charity group that puts respondents in touch with other information groups. The gentleman made the request and the society referred him to the Gender Identity Research and Education society.

Female to Male transgender individuals are still capable of giving birth when going through the transition process. The process is not without risks and medical experts advise against people who have gone through FTM reassignment surgery from giving birth.
