Ellen DeGeneres Remains JC Penney Spokesperson

One Million Moms Asked retailer JC Penney to fire Ellen DeGeneres as their spokesperson. The organization asked JC Penney to remain neutral. The neutral policy, which mirrors the language used in an a controversial Anoka-Hennepin school district policy does not extend to heterosexual couples. One Million Moms accused JC Penney of jumping on the pro-gay bandwagon in a press release.

JC Penney has ignored the pleas of One Million Moms and has promised to stand behind the popular Lesbian daytime talk show host. One commentator even suggested that the group offer a list of Asexual celebrities to use as the company's spokesperson.

Despite all the furor, JC Penney has not backed down. The daytime talk show host has even been backed by Fox News commentator, Bill O'Reilly. O'Reilly compared the attempt to blacklist Gay employees to Joe McCarthy's attempt to blacklist communists in the early 50s.
