NWSA Issues Call for Asexuality Papers for 2012 Conference

Regina Wright issued a call for papers for their 2012 Asexuality Studies Panel at the National Women's Studies Association conference. NWSA will hold their conference from November 8th-11th in Okaland, California. Paper topics can include online Asexual communities, Asexual education and activism, teaching Asexuality studies, Asexual discourses and theory, Asexuality research methods, and Asexual Artists and Artwork.

"The purpose of this CFP is a way to facilitate more research regarding the intersections of women's and gender studies & asexuality to be represented at the larger NWSA conference. It is also important to emphasize that this is an academic conference, but that activists and independent scholars are still encouraged to submit," said Wright in an e-mail to Asexual News.

Wright issued the call for papers and posted it  Asexuality Studies Mailing list. Paper presentations will last fifteen minutes. Each presentation will be followed by a question and answer session.

Wright is an Indiana University Gender studies doctoral student.
