Write For Us

Are you someone who can handle news-style pieces and the occasional opinion piece? Do you want to see different viewpoints represented on Asexual News? If so, you should consider writing for the site.

Becoming a writer for the site does not offer any payment beyond exposure. At the moment no one is getting paid, not even the owner. This will change as the site continues to grow. Writing for the site will give you exposure which you can use for later pieces or a portfolio. You can also, if you decide to leave the site, use us for a reference.

How to Apply:

  1. E-mail This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with a writing sample.
  2. Sign up for an account with the site. Be sure to validate your account so it does not get deleted
  3. You will get a response from the publisher within a few days. If you are added to the writer's group, you can post content. You need to check the items that are already on the site before posting at the very least. In an ideal world, you would ask the editor or the Administrator if an item needs to be covered before hand. The editors and the administrators prefer to take a Laissez-faire approach.
  4. Editors Note: It's not that we're Laissez-faire necessarily, it's that this is a website and it's rather ridiculous to expect the staff to be on here 24/7. (Even though I do have a habit of checking this website a few times a day to see if there are any new articles/opinion pieces for me to edit, not sure about the other editor(s) though).

You will note the articles here are short. That is done deliberately, but the basics of writing for the web are easy to pick up. If you have a specific area you would like to focus on, please contact us. While you work with the site, you will have an @asexualnews.com e-mail address to use for business purposes.

Opportunitie of Research Yes No Hello,

My name is Gustavo and I'm undergraduate student from Brazil.
I have an idea of good research about assexuality (I'm actually identify myself as grey assexual), but as I'm not have psycology background, it's almost impossible for me to do this.
Is there somebody with whom I can talk about my idea?

Thank you for you help!
Waiting for your answer

views of a closeted asexual in a sexual environment Yes No i haven't read any of the content but i was wondering if you have the opinions on what it is like to be a closeted asexual and how that changes your friendships once you have worked out who you are? i have a very sexually orientated group of friends so this may be appropraite reading for someone such as myself, i am 16 and my friends are mostly boys. i have identified as bi-asexual for about 2 years and decided i could try a diffeent strategy of confronting my asexuality

Thank you, but instead of asking us to write it... Yes No You may have noticed that this is the "Write for us" link. That means we are seeking staff members. (Lara can't do this all on her own, nor does she want to try.)

If you want to write such an article on your own, type it up and send it to us. If you have a news tip, please use tipline@asexual news.com

I thought I turned comments off on this thread, so my apologies.
